ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮਨਾਮਾ

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥ ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਦੁਆਰਿ ॥ ਗਹਿ ਚਰਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗ ॥ ਮਨ ਮਿਸਟ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ॥ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਲੇਹੁ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੧॥ ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਦਇਆਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਦਇਆਲ ॥ ਜਾਚਉ ਸੰਤ ਰਵਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਕੂਪ ॥ ਤਮ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਮੋਹਤ ਘੂਪ ॥ ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਲੇਹੁ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਦੇਹੁ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਠਾਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੨॥

बिलावलु महला ५ ॥ प्रभ जनम मरन निवारि ॥ हारि परिओ दुआरि ॥ गहि चरन साधू संग ॥ मन मिसट हरि हरि रंग ॥ करि दइआ लेहु लड़ि लाइ ॥ नानका नामु धिआइ ॥१॥ दीना नाथ दइआल मेरे सुआमी दीना नाथ दइआल ॥ जाचउ संत रवाल ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ संसारु बिखिआ कूप ॥ तम अगिआन मोहत घूप ॥ गहि भुजा प्रभ जी लेहु ॥ हरि नामु अपुना देहु ॥ प्रभ तुझ बिना नही ठाउ ॥ नानका बलि बलि जाउ ॥२॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl: God, please release me from birth and death. I have grown weary, and collapsed at Your door. I grasp Your Feet, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. The Love of the Lord, Har, Har, is sweet to my mind. Be Merciful, and attach me to the hem of Your robe. Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| O Merciful Master of the meek, You are my Lord and Master, O Merciful Master of the meek. I yearn for the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||1||Pause|| The world is a pit of poison, filled with the utter darkness of ignorance and emotional attachment. Please take my hand, and save me, Dear God. Please bless me with Your Name, Lord. Without You, God, I have no place at all. Nanak is a sacrifice, a sacrifice to You. ||2||

ਅਰਥ: (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ-) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਮੇਰਾ) ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ (ਦਾ ਗੇੜ) ਮੁਕਾ ਦੇਹ। ਮੈਂ (ਹੋਰ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਆਸ ਲਾਹ ਕੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਆ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਹਾਂ। (ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ) ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਫੜ ਕੇ (ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦਾ) ਪੱਲਾ ਫੜ ਕੇ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ, ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਰਹੇ। ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੜ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਲੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰ ॥੧॥ ਹੇ ਗ਼ਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ! ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਹੇ ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ! ਹੇ ਦਇਆਲ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥ ਇਹ ਜਗਤ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੇ ਮੋਹ) ਦਾ ਖੂਹ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੇ-ਸਮਝੀ ਦਾ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨੇਰਾ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਮੋਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। (ਮੇਰੀ) ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜ ਕੇ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰ, ਤੇ, ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ (ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ) ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ॥੨॥
