ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਰੂਪ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਮਾਇ ਬਾਪ ਪੂਤ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਰਾਜ ਮਿਲਖ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਚਨਾ ਸਾਚੁ ਬਨੀ ॥ ਸਭ ਕਾ ਏਕੁ ਧਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਬੇਦ ਅਰੁ ਬਾਦਿ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਰਸਨਾ ਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਲਪਟਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਰੀ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਰਚੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਖੇਲਤ ਜੂਆ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਅਮਲੀ ਹੂਆ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਪਰ ਦਰਬ ਚੋੁਰਾਏ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੩॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਜੋਗ ਤਪ ਪੂਜਾ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਭਰਮੀਜਾ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਪਵਨ ਧਾਰ ਜਾਤ ਬਿਹਾਏ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਏ ॥੪॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਚਾਲਤ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਿੜੁ ਮਾਲਤ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਬਾਲ ਪੜਾਵਤ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਤ ॥੫॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਨਟ ਨਾਟਿਕ ਨਿਰਤੇ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਜੀਆਇਹ ਹਿਰਤੇ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿ ਡਰਤੇ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਰਤੇ ॥੬॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਮਤਾ ਮਸੂਰਤਿ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਸੇਵਾ ਜਰੂਰਤਿ ॥ ਕਾਹੂ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਸੋਧਤ ਜੀਵਤ ॥ ਸੰਤ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵਤ ॥੭॥ ਜਿਤੁ ਕੋ ਲਾਇਆ ਤਿਤ ਹੀ ਲਗਾਨਾ ॥ ਨਾ ਕੋ ਮੂੜੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋ ਸਿਆਨਾ ॥ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥੮॥੩॥

रामकली महला ५ ॥ काहू बिहावै रंग रस रूप ॥ काहू बिहावै माइ बाप पूत ॥ काहू बिहावै राज मिलख वापारा ॥ संत बिहावै हरि नाम अधारा ॥१॥ रचना साचु बनी ॥ सभ का एकु धनी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥ काहू बिहावै बेद अरु बादि ॥ काहू बिहावै रसना सादि ॥ काहू बिहावै लपटि संगि नारी ॥ संत रचे केवल नाम मुरारी ॥२॥ काहू बिहावै खेलत जूआ ॥ काहू बिहावै अमली हूआ ॥ काहू बिहावै पर दरब चोराए ॥ हरि जन बिहावै नाम धिआए ॥३॥ काहू बिहावै जोग तप पूजा ॥ काहू रोग सोग भरमीजा ॥ काहू पवन धार जात बिहाए ॥ संत बिहावै कीरतनु गाए ॥४॥ काहू बिहावै दिनु रैनि चालत ॥ काहू बिहावै सो पिड़ु मालत ॥ काहू बिहावै बाल पड़ावत ॥ संत बिहावै हरि जसु गावत ॥५॥ काहू बिहावै नट नाटिक निरते ॥ काहू बिहावै जीआइह हिरते ॥ काहू बिहावै राज महि डरते ॥ संत बिहावै हरि जसु करते ॥६॥ काहू बिहावै मता मसूरति ॥ काहू बिहावै सेवा जरूरति ॥ काहू बिहावै सोधत जीवत ॥ संत बिहावै हरि रसु पीवत ॥७॥ जितु को लाइआ तित ही लगाना ॥ ना को मूड़ु नही को सिआना ॥ करि किरपा जिसु देवै नाउ ॥ नानक ता कै बलि बलि जाउ ॥८॥३॥

Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl: Some pass their lives enjoying pleasures and beauty. Some pass their lives with their mothers, fathers and children. Some pass their lives in power, estates and trade. The Saints pass their lives with the support of the Lord’s Name. ||1|| The world is the creation of the True Lord. He alone is the Master of all. ||1||Pause|| Some pass their lives in arguments and debates about scriptures. Some pass their lives tasting flavors. Some pass their lives attached to women. The Saints are absorbed only in the Name of the Lord. ||2|| Some pass their lives gambling. Some pass their lives getting drunk. Some pass their lives stealing the property of others. The humble servants of the Lord pass their lives meditating on the Naam. ||3|| Some pass their lives in Yoga, strict meditation, worship and adoration. Some, in sickness, sorrow and doubt. Some pass their lives practicing control of the breath. The Saints pass their lives singing the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises. ||4|| Some pass their lives walking day and night. Some pass their lives on the fields of battle. Some pass their lives teaching children. The Saints pass their lives singing the Lord’s Praise. ||5|| Some pass their lives as actors, acting and dancing. Some pass their lives taking the lives of others. Some pass their lives ruling by intimidation. The Saints pass their lives chanting the Lord’s Praises. ||6|| Some pass their lives counseling and giving advice. Some pass their lives forced to serve others. Some pass their lives exploring life’s mysteries. The Saints pass their lives drinking in the sublime essence of the Lord. ||7|| As the Lord attaches us, so we are attached. No one is foolish, and no one is wise. Nanak is a sacrifice, a sacrifice to those who are blessed by His Grace to receive His Name. ||8||3||
